Project 8 | Something Different

96 Dickens Drive
Agent | Jeri Mooney / Royal LePage ProAlliance Realty

The Challenge | staging to portray an artistic lifestyle with limited resources. A very dated 70's side split had been a year-long renovation project for the clients. The home was huge, unique. and located in a great area The clients were eager to sell but had limited contents to use for staging. Both realtor and clients expressed a desire to focus on an artistic lifestyle, not only because of the great light and vast spaces in the home, but also because of the potential buyers in that area. Fortunately, the clients had enough useable larger pieces to get keep the rental costs down. The also had some nice framed photographs and an artist friend who generously allowed them to use several of her large canvases for staging.

Solution | We staged the large former living dining with it's high vaulted ceiling as a potential gallery or studio. The family room was staged as a cosy media room. Upstairs furniture was swapped between rooms to maximize the layouts.

Result | Staged October 21, 2009 Sold. De-staged January 21, 2010
