Project 5 | Accentuate the Positives
433 College Street
Agent | Jeri Mooney / Royal LePage ProAlliance Realty
The Challenge | Although well maintained, the first impression in this home was 'old'. It also appeared less spacious than it could have, with distracting wall displays and a dark closed-in kitchen. The master bedroom had taste specific wall colour (blue) and unappealing bedding while the second bedroom had no bed. Worst of all the lower level suite was neglected, under furnished and drab.
Solution | We oversaw the painters as they freshened up living/dining, kitchen, hall and changed the master bedroom colour. We rearranged furniture to make the rooms look larger and streamlined the art on the walls. Our most creative work was illustrating what a great asset the basement suite could be to a new owner. We added some furniture found in the storage area and some decorated with a few colourful accessories from our inventory.
Result | The home received multiple offers the first day on the market and sold for 102.4% of asking price.
