Chief Stager & Owner - Martha Stanton-Smith
Martha Stanton-Smith is certified by the Canadian Staging Professionals™, the Canadian standard of excellence in training and support for professional stagers. She holds the RESA-PRO staging designation. She also took 1st year Environmental Studies (pre-Architecture) at the University of Manitoba and a Diploma in Town Planning from Red River Community College.
Although home design and decor were always her first love, staging is a second career. Martha was an accountant and budget officer for The City of Winnipeg for almost 30 years. Her financial background is a valuable asset in helping clients budget for their home sale preparations.
Over the years, Martha has owned 10 different homes. Before each of them were sold they underwent a staging process because Martha realized early on the importance of a good first impression to the sale.
Martha came to Kingston in 2004. She helped her son renovate and redecorate some rental properties and then staged them 'just for fun'. That successful effort finally convinced her to start Rearrangements home staging services.
Martha has done many talks and workshops on the subjects of staging or moving at Limestone Continuing Education, Conservatory Pond Retirement Residence, the Seniors Centre and various groups around Kingston.
Since moving to Kingston, Martha has been an active volunteer. Her largest volunteer commitment has been serving as Treasurer on the Board of Kingston Interval House.
Professional Organizer, Decorator & Staging Assistant - Kathy Collard
Kathy Collard is a Professional Organizer who works one-on-one with clients to help them clear clutter, simplify and organize their homes and their lives. With a belief that our lives should honour our highest priorities, Kathy helps clients find more space, time and energy to devote to whatever is most important to them in their lives.
Kathy listens carefully to gain an understanding of each client's unique challenges and needs. She helps clients work through to the real cause of their problem - thus ensuring a permanent solution. Kathy not only works with her clients to help them set goals, but also creates a specific plan of action that will guarantee those goals will be realized.
Kathy is a member of Professional Organizers in Canada. With a natural flair for and training in interior design, Kathy also works with her clients to create inviting environments which nurture and support them.
Kathy relies on her time management skills as she runs her business and looks after a busy household which includes her husband, son and two dogs.
